Outer Glow. Inner Radiance

Many years ago, in the midst of extreme mental stress, and despite the use of great make-up and fancy clothes, I had managed to look very unattractive.

I spent hours in front of the mirror wondering what was wrong. There was something missing. Today, I know what it was. It was the absence of radiance on my face; a radiance that no make-up could give me because it needed to come from within.

It was the absence of harmony within me that was reflected on my face and also robbed it of its glow.

Glow Light

A glow on your face is about your physical as well as emotional well-being. A great skin care regimen is essential, but it is not just enough. At times, you need to consciously brighten both your spirit and your heart. It is only through this approach can you find your inner radiance.

This inner glow or “tej” has nothing to do with how you dress, or how perfect your facial features are. Irrespective of your level of physical beauty, when you wear your radiance, everything else pales in comparison. You wear that radiance when you have attained a balance on all levels of your self: body, mind, emotion, and spirit.

Healing Awareness

As human beings we are supposed to have chosen our joys and sorrows long before we experience them. At times, we choose to suffer; at other times, we decide to heal. Emotional healing is rediscovering our own intuitive healing nature and attaining harmony within ourselves. The most important factor for this process to be effective is an awareness of our own emotions.

Ancient healing systems have proved that awareness, or knowing what's going on within us and being willing to do something about it, is the key to any healing process. There is yoga, and breathing exercises that improve respiration, and release tension and restore calm; relaxation, which soothes the nervous system and alleviates stress and anxiety; and. meditation that improves memory, concentration and focus. When relaxation and awareness go hand-in-hand, they help us to be healthier. Our happiness is dependent on our ability to be healthy and to think healthy. The more this happens, the better is our inner radiance that is reflected on our face.

Integrated Symphony

The body and the mind are intended to function as one. When one is ignored, the other takes over completely, often with disastrous consequences. They have to gel in tandem for our total fulfilment.

A sense of harmony within our mind and body empowers us to trust our own inner wisdom, seek opportunities to help us with our transformation, make the right choices, help us see challenges as allies in our transformational process and encourage us to tap our own powers within.

When we respond to outer chaos and emerge out of darkness and shadows, what shines on our face is an inner glow of peace and contentment. These mirrors become our great friends, though we don’t need their affirmation anymore.
